I've noticed the advertisements starting to appear for this.

Steven Bradbury is already annoying me.

I am really looking forward to this although it seems a bit lazy to me to go with the same theme.  But I will take any Survivor and think the Aussie one is great.

Nozy I have heard that we are restricted to following the MO of the US Survivor due to the fact they own it.

I am very much looking forward to it including a Steven Bradbury...... he is a legend. :)

I loved the last one and got totally sucked in.  Usually a, not a big tv watcher.  I think Steve’s story is an interesting one and would like to know more about him.

I remember him as a kid, so I don't think he's that interesting.

I love Survivor, bring it on.

He has an irritating face. I wonder if he'll be any good. I don't think I watched the last Australian survivor because the contestants were uniformly uninteresting.

#8 steppy

Oh no, I did watch the last episodes. Shane Gould. Yeah that was a bad season. I wish they'd keep celebrities out of it.

Oh I just saw it's the exact same format. Bored already.

When does it start? i don't think I have seen any ads with dates yet

Well the one they did years ago with their own format was terrible and that’s why it wasn’t on for years.

There are a few oldies this year. Luke is hilarious as always

#13 Nozycat

I looove Survivor, both US and Aus, but can't stand Luke and it is really putting me off that they have put him in and also are lazy by doing the same format.

Where is it filmed?

Early favourites??? Or players that you can see staying for the long haul???

From the Champions (just coz I remember their names/jobs)
-ET
-Nova
-both footballers
-David? Model

Unfortunately I can’t see Luke staying for too long as he hasn’t really found his people (although that may work in his favour)

Not a fan of Bradbury AT ALL, or the surfer, or Anastasia

I enjoyed it tonight.

The super fan (Andy?) seems interesting.  He has all the physical skills, but seems a bit cocky and I am not sure how he will go with his people skills.  Would like to see more of the contenders.

Luke does not seem to have really bonded with anyone on his team.

Did I read the end votes right - Steve did not vote the same was as the rest of the sporty 7?  Wonder what all that was about.

A pretty good first episode I thought. I was worried that the super fan would go too hard, too early with unnecessary fibs as they often do. It was nice to see him succeed at the challenge.

The immunity challenge struck me as pretty dangerous - all the challenges have a risk of course, but when they were all struggling to push up that huge heavy plank, with several people standing directly beneath it, I was picturing smooshed survivors!

I like Pia but I do feel like they were a bit silly in who they voted off first . I hope to see the Contenders do a bit better this year.

Absolutely!  Way too early to be getting rid of strong players.  I am happy because I thought Anastasia was a bit annoying and I would prefer to watch Pia but a bad strategy by the champions.

My DD15 was quite confused when I told her that my teenage self had a huge crush on ET.  "But he's so old!"

I was thinking the tall guy on contenders looked like Megan gales partner and ex footy player.
Turns out it is him! I googled it and he didn’t have a ‘champion’ career so didn’t want to be on the champions team.

Yes, we are waiting until someone works it out and has that discussion. Or when he makes it to near the end and their family comes on -lol!

Me: Why is Simon Black wearing budgie smugglers?
DS15: Because when you have won a Brownlow and 3 premierships, you can wear whatever you want!

In my house "jeez, you couldn't even smuggle a budgie in those!"

He IS old. I remember watching him play footy all those years ago. So I must be old too LOL. And the affair he had was a huge scandal. What is with the hair is what I want to know, Im really distracted by the weird grey roots and wispy brown bits.

Oh wow, I thought it was him and couldn't figure out why he was in the Contenders tribe.

The sight of Pia takes me straight back to my awkward adolescence and Looking for Alibrandi.
